Frequently Asked Questions

What does a Virgil demo include?

A typical demo runs 30 minutes and is tailored to your laboratory’s domain. You’ll see natural language protocol authoring, real-time validation against regulatory standards, and export to instrument-specific formats such as SiLA 2, Tecan GWL, and Hamilton VENUS. We can focus on the areas most relevant to your operation, whether that’s compliance, multi-site standardization, or integration with your existing LIMS or ELN.

Is Virgil available for on-premises or air-gapped deployment?

Yes. Virgil supports four deployment models: cloud (AWS), on-premises, hybrid, and fully air-gapped, all with identical capabilities. The AI engine runs locally in every configuration, so your data never leaves your environment. This makes Virgil suitable for classified, regulated, and high-security laboratory environments.

What does the Early Adopter Program involve?

Early adopters receive hands-on access to Virgil before general availability and work directly with our engineering team. In exchange, we ask for structured feedback on usability, workflow accuracy, and domain-specific terminology. Early adopters also influence the product roadmap and receive preferential licensing terms at launch.

How does Virgil integrate with existing laboratory systems?

Virgil is designed as middleware. It can be embedded into LIMS, ELN, and automation platforms via a white-label API, or used as a standalone authoring tool. Workflows export to open and vendor-specific formats, so Virgil fits into your existing instrument ecosystem without replacing it.
